Why did H S Walsh & Sons need an updated eCommerce site?
H S Walsh & Sons had identified a number of challenges involving better integrating their online presence with their internal systems, and wanted to modernise their eCommerce site to accelerate sales and growth.
The previous system was built on Drupal, and was no longer able to meet the needs of the growing business. H S Walsh & Sons were looking for a robust system that could handle the complexity of their business, which has a very large number of products and SKUs across a complicated category structure – including hazardous materials and multiple discount levels. Trade customers could also not use the old site to place accurate orders using their trade discount. Overall, it was an unsatisfactory customer experience – tolerated by everyone, but holding the business back.
Building a better e-commerce solution
